NOW AVAILABLE:
Secure KM Switch with CAC
The latest addition to HSL’s secure desktop solutions is now available. The new Secure KM Switch is engineered for the highest level of peripheral security, achieving full NIAP PP4.0 compliance with an integrated Common Access Card (CAC) port. It allows operators to control multiple computers with a single keyboard and mouse, and the ‘freeze’ function keeps audio and USB channels locked to any source, regardless of which input source the user is working on. By eliminating peripheral clutter and freeing up valuable workspace, the KM Switch is the definitive solution for modern control room environments.
The Russian state-sponsored group APT28 (Fancy Bear) has weaponized the secure messaging app Signal to attack Ukrainian government and military targets. This was not a hack of Signal’s encryption but a social engineering campaign. Attackers infiltrated group chats and shared malicious links, tricking users into downloading “SlimAgent” malware. Once installed, the malware provided attackers with persistent access to steal sensitive data, demonstrating how even trusted, encrypted platforms can be used as a delivery mechanism for cyberattacks.
